TIPS ON HOW MAKE CRISPY CHIPS

Try these helpful tips for making crispy chips:

We recommend to stack no more than 3 trays high at a time. If you do use 2 or 3 trays at one time, start with the recommended time in the Use & Care guide then either increase or decrease the time until you get the perfect results. Please know that each microwave is different and times will vary, so please test until you find the optimum time for your microwave. If making more than 3 batches at a time, please allow time for your microwave and TopChips tray to cool before continuing cooking your next batch.

Hints on how to have the best chip making experience:

1. The Topchips slicer is specifically designed to get the perfect thickness every time and we would highly recommend using it. Different thickness chips will cook at different times, so it is critical that they are all the same thickness. The perfect thickness is 1mm.

2. Please the sliced chips between paper towels before microwaving to remove moisture. Some food items have more moisture than others and this can help if they are coming out soggy.

3. Test the first batches using the recommended times, then adjust in 30 second increments until the perfect crispness. Record this time and you will have consistent crispy chips time and again.

4. Wait 10 minutes between each batch to let the microwave cool down.
